COVID-19 office protocols

Due to COVID-19, our office procedures have been enhanced for your safety.

Our office door is locked and only patients with appointments will be allowed to enter. Please call (519) 632-7888 from parking lot 5 minutes before and/or come to the door and knock one time. We are always watching the door and hear you, but need to disinfect before letting you in.

To ensure a safe and efficient visit for you, we require that you answer the following questions prior to coming into our office:

Do you have a fever, new onset of cough, worsening chronic cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?

Have you had close contact with anyone with acute respiratory illness or travelled outside of Canada in the past 14 days?

Do you have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?

Have you travelled recently?

If you have answered YES to any of the above questions, call the office and inform us so we can properly prepare or possibly re-book your appointment.

Infection Control Procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE)

To protect you and our staff, we have significantly reduced the number of patients we see in our office and have implemented strict infection control procedures that meet guidelines from Public Health Ontario and the College of Optometrist of Ontario. Some of the things you can expect during your visit include:

Mandatory hand sanitizing station for staff and patients at our front entrance, plastic barriers at the reception and dispensary desks, and our waiting room area has changed to permit safe social distancing.

Staff are outfitted with PPE and follow strict handwashing and health/safety measures at all times. Clinical and shared spaces are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each patient visit.

We’ve also implemented a contactless payment system and will charge your debit/credit card at the end of your appointment.

IMPORTANT: Please arrive with your own mask that covers your nose and mouth.
